Beer Couplers are designed to connect to Kegs and allow CO2 to enter on one side, while enabling the beer to dispense out the other. The S-system Sankey Keg Couplers are specifically engineered for most (but not all) European Kegs, including Becks, Amstel, Newcastle, Heineken, St. Pauli Girl, and more. These couplers are very similar to, but not the same as, D-system couplers.
The probe of the S-system Sankey Keg Couplers is made of 304 Stainless Steel, which ensures superior durability and corrosion resistance. Since the probe is the component that makes direct contact with the beer, it is 100% Stainless Steel for beer contact. The barbed tailpiece/probe, which is 5/16" for the CO2 input hose, is made of chrome-plated brass, ensuring that only Stainless Steel comes into contact with the beer.
